One in every ten women are suffering with hormonal Imbalances

  • Do you know that it takes seven hormones to work in a symphonic relationship to give you a regular monthly cycle? And in women with PCOS, there is an unsynchronized hormone that is impacting menstruation, leading to follicular ovaries, fibroids, infertility, endometriosis, and painful periods. facial hair, hair loss, low iron levels, acne, and fatigue are commonly seen in women with PCOS.
  • Early menopause has become a major concern in modern women, there is been so many myths around hormonal imbalances. Women have been told that having painful PMS is common, having irrgaular cycle is common.
  • Well, the less understood cause for PCOS is Insulin resistance, it's a metabolic syndrome impacting the hormones. Our body has its internal clock which has to be synced with the circadian cycle and when ignoring the importance of a healthy diet, sound sleep, exercise, and stress management, we end up with metabolic disorders which manifest into some diseases in future
  • Change your perception!
Time to wake up! We have been treating hormonal imbalances with hormonal pills like OCP, and metformin without even understanding what could have led to Pcos. It's high time that we try to understand the root cause and fix it before jumping on to medication. As said before Hormones are very particular in their actions. They act only on their specific target site. Too much or too little of a certain hormone results in diseases. This hormonal fluctuation is known as hormonal imbalance or hormonal disorder. Hormone disorders can be caused by many things, including being exposed to certain chemicals in the environment and revolve around the lifestyle
Many of us may not understand whats a normal period /cycle should be like

Your cycle should be

  1. Cycle length: Should last between 28 to 32 days where in between is fine as long as it's regular and consistent
  2. Color: Your bleed should be the color of deep cranberry juice or dark cherry juice
  3. Flow length: Ideally it should be 4 to 7 days
  4. Flow consistency: You should not have lots of clots, or heavy
  5. PMS: Your pms should be so bad that you should complete bed reset or be on painkillers

Chronic hormone-related conditions can have several different possible causes. In general, the main conditions or situations that cause medically significant hormone imbalances include:

  • Tumors,
  • adenomas or other growths.
  • Damage or injury to an endocrine gland.
  • Autoimmune conditions.
  • Hereditary gene mutations (changes) that cause problems with the structure and/or function of an endocrine gland.

Some of the most common hormone-related conditions include:

  1. Diabetes, including Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes and gestational diabetes.
  2. Thyroid disease, including hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone levels) and hyperthyroidism (high thyroid hormone levels).
  3. Irregular menstruation (periods), caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), amenorrhea and anovulation.
  4. Female infertility.
  5. Male infertility — more specifically, low testosterone levels (hypogonadism).
  6. Obesity.
